What to Expect During Your Appointment
A camera is connected to a screen as a visual aid. You are then able to see how much wax, if any, is in your ears. We talk through ear anatomy and general ear care. These before and after photos are included as part of your appointment cost, and will be sent to you after your appointment.
Microsuction is a pain-less process and the safest method to use if you have a perforation or middle ear conditions.

Ear wax usually breaks down without you noticing and works its way out of your canals. My fees are structured as a fixed, all-inclusive clinical rate per visit. This ensures a comprehensive standard of care that includes a clinical assessment of both ears, microsuction treatment, and high-definition before-and-after imaging for your records and peace of mind.
Note on Pricing:
The fee remains the same whether one or both ears require treatment. This covers the clinical setup, travel, and the necessary assessment.

Common Questions About Specialist Home Visits in Shoreham
Should I use olive oil drops before my appointment?
As a Master of Science (MSc) Audiologist, I advise not to use fluids or oil before I have personally examined your ears. It is unsafe to put oil into an ear without knowing if there is an underlying perforation, infection, or abrasion.
In the vast majority of cases, I can successfully and safely remove the wax in a single visit using specialist clinical techniques. However, your safety is my priority; if the wax is exceptionally hard and cannot be removed safely in one session, a follow-up appointment will be arranged at a significantly reduced rate to complete the procedure.
In the rare event that the wax is exceptionally hard and a follow-up is required for your safety, this second visit is provided at a discretionary professional rate of £47 to cover clinical time and travel.

My service is provided for a transparent flat fee, which includes the professional home visit to Shoreham, the complete clinical procedure, and high-resolution before and after images of your ear canal.
